Morel mushrooms

The find of the morning was this huge morel mushroom. This woul be
quite expensive at a market.

A walk in the Bavarian woods

This morning I went on a wonderful walk in the woods of the mountains
of Bavaria, middle Franconia to be exact. We went mushroom hunting.
During the walk I received a great lesson in finding mushrooms,
identifying which ones are edible, and how the tell the really tasty
ones from the average.
