I watched the swearing in and inaugural speech with the sixth graders at school yesterday. They were fun to watch, watching the whole ceremony. When the camera panned to mall the was a collective, "Whooow" from the group.

Needless to say with all the images of DC, I am chomping at the bit to head back there this summer for the School of Public Service at St. Albans.

We are studying Ancient Greece in my 8th grade World History class right now and ran across this quote the other day that I thought was appropriate for our time,

"The bravest are surely those who have the clearest vision of what is before them, glory and danger alike, and yet notwithstanding, go out and meet it."
Thucydides

I just read a great article on Sports Illustrated's web site about basketball and the new President.

It's worth the read
