BBQ Recap
How does one measure the success of a BBQ fest weekend? Various factors could include; the amount of pigs killed for culinary satisfaction, the amount of kegs drank and therefore brain cells killed, the amount of visitors to the Magically Siliceous tent, or the fact that everyone survived with minimal hangovers, and/or BBQ overdose.
Suffice to say a good time was had by all. Here are some highlights:
1. The Don’s remarkable comeback on Friday. After a steady stream of H20, he was able to shake off the previous nights “troubles” and comeback strong.
2. The success of McGoogle’s Flip Table. McGoogle was able to design, build, and deliver a Flip cup Table with precision accuracy. The table was successful in its designed purpose, lots of flip cup, and the fabulous graffiti that made its way on the table. It was truly offensive. Awesome.
3. The crawfish boil of Jr. and the Cajun Doctor. They are experts in their craft and I truly believe the Saturday crawfish boil will become a staple of the Magically Piglicious crew.
4. Smilin’ Chuck taking one for the team during judging on Saturday. What had happened was that Smilin’ Chuck took a quick bathroom break between the BBQ judging and got caught in the Job Johnny. The judge was there a good 15 minutes and Chuck had to resort to breathing from the grates on the top of the Port-O Let. We dubbed it the poor man’s steam bath.
There are more stories but none fit for publication. Sorry no pictures of the Flip Cup Table. That would cause a quick R – Rating, possible XXX depending on the graffiti photographed.
