Eating in Erie, Pa

I always enjoy my visits to my hometown Erie, Pa. Spending time with family and friends, morning coffee with Mom and Dad, and runnin into old friends in town while running errands. These are are the true reasons why it's fun to go home.

Another side bonus is Erie food. When I left Erie 20 years ago I truly didn't realize how good the food was here until I got someplace else. I guess it's the ethnic melting pot that is this town. Italian delis, Irish pubs, German bakeries, the Polish market (The best homemade sausages, pierogis, and horseradish that you ever tasted). Mind you I've done more than OK in Memphis with it's food choices.

Here is the selection of rolls at Sontheimer's bakery. I may or may not have had a cinnamon almond rikor(roll).

Enjoy your holidays.
